T102 Sports, writing up the Oct. 20 PennLive Class 4A poll, has Shamokin 8-0 and No. 1, and Blue Mountain 7-1 and No. 9. The Eagles have won six straight since a Week 2 loss to Southern Lehigh. The game is at Blue Mountain's Eagles' Nest. West York, South Fayette, North Pocono, Dallas, Montour, General McLane, and Pottsgrove sit between them in that poll.
The Republican Herald's Aug. 27 Gameface lists Chuck Kutz in his second season. It has Blue Mountain 7-5 overall and 6-3 in the league in 2025, and it lists the Oct. 23 game as Blue Mountain at Shamokin. The October poll story has Blue Mountain hosting.
