Shamokin Football 1985 Season

PA Football News lists Shamokin 5-5 in 1985 with Jack Murdock as head coach. No league record is on that line.

PA Football News's Oct. 24, 2024 Coal Bucket story quotes Rob Oshinskie, who played for Shamokin from 1985 through 1987. He said Shamokin had not won the game in 17 years, that 1985 was the first time he remembered Shamokin taking a lead, and that the field was swarmed when the clock hit 00. He said Shamokin won the game twice in his career. The archive has Shamokin wins in 1985, 21-0, and 1987, 21-7, and a loss in 1986, 8-28.
