Head coach Dan Foor. District 4 Class AAA semifinalist

PA Football News lists Shamokin 5-6 in 2010 with Dan Foor as head coach and a league record of 5-5. The Republican Herald's Nov. 12, 2010 story, by Chuck Souders, is the District 4 Class AAA semifinal in Sunbury: Shikellamy 23, Shamokin 17 in overtime. The paper says Shamokin had lost to Shikellamy 44-0 two weeks earlier, finished 5-6, and closed with four straight losses. Shikellamy, 8-3, went on to play Selinsgrove for the district title.

Jared Montgomery rushed 36 times for 166 yards. Jared Haddock rushed 13 times for 92 yards, scored on a 22-yard run with 4:32 left, and recovered Montgomery's fumble in the end zone for a third-quarter touchdown. Leon Supsic was stopped on fourth-and-goal from the 2, then found Preston Ford for 17 yards. Jon Vanaskie kicked a 26-yard field goal before halftime and the extra point after Haddock's recovery. Shikellamy's Garrett Pope threw a 59-yard touchdown to Tyler Pratt, and Mike Yoder kicked a 32-yard field goal after Cody Welsh recovered a fumble, for a 10-0 lead.

Pope's 11-yard pass to Ryan Wagner with 54.2 seconds left tied the game after Yoder's kick. Shamokin players and coaches told the paper Wagner did not have possession. The official ruled that he did, then threw the ball down. Nick Sebasovich intercepted a pass as regulation ended. Supsic was intercepted on third-and-7 in overtime, and Dominic Wolfe scored from 10 yards. Foor said he had no timeouts and had wanted the ball first in overtime.
