Dave Zielinskie

Dave Zielinskie is the head coach on the sourced Shamokin seasons for 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 2007, 2008.

Those season lines add to 49-41. The 1992 line on the same table is Sam Schicchitano.

The Republican Herald, on May 11, 2009, said Zielinskie was fired Nov. 18 on a 5-4 vote after seasons of 1-9 and 4-6, with a year left on his contract. The paper's figure for a first stint from 1986 through 1992 is 54-30, including District 4 and Southern Division titles, and its figure for both stints is 59-45. It also says he coached Danville. Those are the paper's totals. They are kept separate from the 49-41 sum of the season lines above.

The Times Leader's Oct. 25, 1992 story on Shamokin 21, Pittston Area 0 quotes Dave Zielinski after the game. PA Football News lists Sam Schicchitano for 1992. That season is on Schicchitano's page.
